Road and Rail Ltd incorporates two Rail Terminals. Burton Upon Trent was established in 1996 to handle steel reinforcement bar and coil. Up to 2002, over 220,000 tonnes of steel passed through the terminal per year. At its peak, the terminal held almost 20,000 tonnes in stock. The terminal sits on the midland main line and there is a daily train service run by EWS. There is a railway line which runs through our new warehouse which allows us to discharge under cover and an external line for materials which are not destined for the warehouse. This line is also used for container discharge or transhipment. There are 3 other sidings which can be used for the holding of rail wagons if necessary. A daily shunting service is operated by EWS. Rotherham Terminal was established in 2000 and specialises in under cover storage. It has a purpose built 20,000ft2 building which provides ample storage for around 4000 tonnes of coil.
