Railhead
Our railhead is a logistics hub where freight is transferred between rail and road transport. Incoming trains are unloaded using material handlers, forklifts or reach stackers, depending on the cargo type. Goods are then checked, sorted, and moved to the relevant storage areas.
Inventory management systems track freight movements and storage durations. When required, consignments are consolidated or broken down into smaller loads for distribution. Final-mile delivery is carried out by our trucks that transport goods from the railhead to customers, retail outlets, manufacturing sites, or distribution centres, ensuring efficient onward movement of freight.
